Welcome to Pemuteran
Pemuteran means ‘come back to you’… is in the quiet north west of Bali. A small laid-back coastal village that has kept its charm and traditional culture. You will find some of the most important temples of Bali and friendly helpful people that welcome you in their community. Nestled at the base of Bali’s magic mountains, bordering the calm holy sea, a perfect place for enjoying the spectacular natural beauty. Beautiful vistas over the sparkling sea to the East display Java’s volcanoes touching the sky.
Pemuteran offers the other side of Bali, unspoiled by mass tourism. Still this area has many things to offer and you can choose from a wide selection of places to stay. You will find low budget home stays, but also beach front luxury resorts and private villas.
Pemuteran has the largest area of shallow reefs in Bali. With Menjangan Island and the award winning Biorock project, Pemuteran Bay is probably the best spot for diving and snorkeling in Bali.
A perfect place if you just want to relax, enjoy massages, do yoga, watch the sunset, hike, snorkel, dive, horse ride. Bali’s first turtle hatchery and release program is here. Together with West Bali National Park it is an ideal place to get up close and personal with nature and Bali’s culture. Explore the villages, temples and cultural features, participate in temple ceremonies guided or not.

This has restored the reef and fisheries and become a world famous ecotourism attraction. Awarded many national and international awards including UNWTO 2016 award for “Excellence and Innovation in Tourism” and the UNDP Equator Prize 2012 for Community Based Tourism and for Marine and Coastal Zone Management

Local hotels and dive shops are all involved in supporting community and guest education, making Pemuteran not only a wonderful place for visitors, but improves the quality of life for villagers through their own efforts. The village is enormously proud .
